About KIBI
KIBI, the Karmapa International Buddhist Institute, has been conducting courses on Buddhism and the Tibetan and Sanskrit languages independently for more than 20 years. As a result, many people who studied here are now successful scholars of Buddhism, working in major universities worldwide. During the year, public teachings and short-term courses on meditation and Buddhist philosophy are offered at KIBI. KIBI operates under the auspices of the education and cultural arm of the Karmapa International Buddhist Society (KIBS).
​We are pleased to announce the launch of KIBI Publications, an important extension of the educational arm of KIBS. Our aim is to promote the study, research and discussion of Buddhism and meditation through our publications.

Located in the capital of India, the country of Buddhism’s origin, KIBI offers a rich resource for studying the scriptures and great treatises of Buddhism as they are preserved by the Kagyu tradition. The language of instruction is English.

If you would like to financially support the activities of KIBS Europe e.V., we appreciate your donation! You can easily make donations via our PayPal account or by bank transfer to our bank account in Oldenburg, Germany. Through individual donations, we are able to carry out critical work to help maintain and modernize facilities, upgrade our services, as well as digitize and preserve educational materials.
Renovation & Maintenance
We currently need funds for following renovation projects:
Building: includes essential costs for maintenance such as electricity (heating, air conditioning), garbage disposal, and general building repairs.
Garden Upkeep: used for planting new flora and ongoing gardening efforts to maintain the beauty and serenity of our green spaces.
Gompa Enhancements: help us purchase flowers, meditation cushions, mattresses, and cover cleaning services to ensure a clean and conducive meditation space.
Sustenance Provisioning: Continuous support for food and beverages throughout the year, ensuring that all visitors and residents are well-fed and comfortable.
Hostel Refurbishment: aids in acquiring new furniture, mattresses, sleeping cushions, blankets, and appliances like washing machines.

Streaming Equipment and Services: To broaden our reach and make our courses available to a global audience, we need high-quality streaming equipment and reliable streaming services.
Translation Equipment and Services: In our commitment to inclusivity, we aim to provide translation services at our courses, ensuring that language barriers do not hinder the learning experience.
Library & Publications

Publish Future Volumes: Support the production and printing of upcoming books in the KARMAPA SERIES and other important Buddhist texts.

Expand Public Access: Ensure that these valuable teachings are accessible to a wider audience, preserving and spreading the wisdom of the Buddha.
Pujas
We invite you to support these sacred rituals through your donations:
Sustain Puja Rituals: Support the costs associated with the special pujas, including offerings, ritual items, and other necessary materials.
Support the Monks: Provide for the monks who dedicate their life and spiritual energy to performing these pujas.
Maintain the Lhakhang (meditation temple): Help in the upkeep and maintenance of our meditation temple where the pujas are performed.
